NyplaqThe Presbytery of West Virginia entered into partnership with The Presbytery of Nyeri, of the Presbyterian Church of East Africa, through a Covenant of Understanding.  This agreement was the result of several years of discussion, visitation, planning and prayer by both parties.  The partnership ia alive and well, and the partners engage in continual communication and interaction.

PARTNER CHURCHES

Your church may have a sister church in Africa. Previously, West Virginia churches were paired with churches in Nyeri, Kenya, and then each West Virginia church had the option of whether or not to pursue a partnership relationship. Some of our churches have been very active in communicating with their sister church – letters of support (with photographs) sent to the church and intentional prayers for the church, which are coveted by the sister church. Some churches also send financial gifts to their sister church. Your church may wish to start or renew those ties. You may wish to give financial support to your sister church.
