Pittsburgh Presbytery is offering training for staff and volunteers who work with children and youth. Better Than Average Training came about when several Pittsburgh Presbytery leaders concluded that the Presbytery had resources to create a training that would be “better than average” for staff and volunteers unable to travel to national events.

The second annual Better Than Average Training will take place Thursday, Jan. 16 at Sewickley Presbyterian Church in the Pittsburgh suburb of Sewickley, beginning at 2:30 p.m. The event will include large group sessions, including a keynote by Michael Haddox (pictured), plus workshops and breakout sessions. It is for churches of all sizes and includes sessions for multi-generational ministry and solo pastors working with children and youth. Details, including registration and cost, are here.
