All pastoral leaders who have not completed a Healthy Boundary Training workshop after 2014 must attend an event by June 15, 2019. What does “all pastoral leaders” mean? All Ministers of Word and Sacrament (including those who are Honorably Retired ministers serving congregations), Certified Christian Educators, Commissioned Pastors, ministers of other denominations serving our congregations, lay pastors, and persons on the Pulpit Supply list are required to complete a Healthy Boundary Training Workshop every five years.

The spring workshops will be led by Kanawha Pastoral Counseling Center Executive Director, Sky Kershner and Presbytery staff. Each event will be limited to 15 participants, and registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. There is no cost for the workshops.

The Healthy Boundary Training workshops for the spring are:

  • March 28 – Bridgeport Presbyterian Church, 1  p.m.
  • April 24 – Old Stone Presbyterian Church, Lewisburg, 1 p.m.
  • May 10 – First Presbyterian Church, Huntington, 9 a.m.
  • May 23 – Presbytery Office, South Charleston, 1 p.m.

Reservations for the workshops can be made by calling or emailing the Presbytery office.
