It’s long been known that stuffed animals bring comfort and joy to children. First Presbyterian Church of Dunbar takes stuffed animal comfort seriously – for all ages. Donated by members and friends, these little ones are tagged with the following message after they arrive at the church and spend time in the pews.
This Love Buddy has been among the congregation of First Presbyterian Church in Dunbar. It has heard the Word read, prayers prayed, songs of praise sung and the sermon preached. It has been given love and loved others. Now it comes to you with our love. God bless you!
Recipients include flood victims, patients in hospitals or recovering at home, and anyone else who needs some extra love and attention. The program has been so successful that other churches in the Dunbar area are no longer contributing animals; instead, they’ve begun their own Love Buddy ministries!
