Rev. Julie Olt has served Old Stone Presbyterian Church in Lewisburg since June 18. She finds both the congregation and the community to be warm and welcoming. Both are fun places that are open to new ideas. The church staff is experienced and wonderful at their positions. These assets lead her to dream of a common vision and mission for the church and for the community as well.
Julie and her husband, Schuyler, met at Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary. They have been married 11 years but have lived apart for the last 8 ½ years due to work commitments. Schuyler has served as a Municipal Attorney while a pastor. They are grateful to be together again. They have a son and two grandchildren in Ashland, KY, and a daughter and two grandchildren in Barrackville, WV. They have two dogs and a cat. They are avid readers and travelers, most recently spending a lovely two weeks in Ireland.
Presbyterianism runs in Julie’s family: her father, she and her twin brother, her sister-in-law and her dad, and Julie’s husband are all Presbyterian ministers, an illustrious family history indeed.
