2019 Shared Mission Request

Many of our churches have already made pledges for 2019. I urge you to check with your minister, pastoral leader and/or Clerk of Session to see that your church has returned their pledge card to this office and, if not, to please do so at your earliest convenience. Treasurers’ events at Festival of Faith

Please note, at this year’s Festival of Faith (Saturday, April 6), we will again have events for our church treasurers. There will be a stewardship workshop, a workshop on interacting with the Board of Pensions, and a workshop for new treasurers. A Festival of Faith information packet was mailed to your church. Please let me know if you have any questions or need additional information about the Festival of Faith or the treasurers’ workshops.

Board of Pensions Webinar – Tax Tips    

The Board of Pensions will be holding a webinar “Tax Tips: Tax Reform Changes and 2018 Return Filing” on Wednesday, March 13 at 4 p.m. The topics to be covered include: tax law changes relevant to lay employees and clergy; tax credits and deductions; key tax schedules for clergy; and considerations when completing your Form 1040. The webinar will last one hour and requires a computer, internet access, and computer speakers or a telephone; enrollment is limited and an earlier time slot has already filled, so register soon.
