The Festival of Faith Planning Team is excited to have Diana Butler Bass as the Keynote Presenter for Festival of Faith on Saturday, March 20, 2021. Some people may be very familiar with her work, others somewhat familiar, and others unfamiliar, so in February, the Planning Team will be offering a month-long book discussion on her book, Grounded, to introduce people to the work of Diana Butler Bass and provide an opportunity for community with others across the presbytery.

There will be two opportunities to participate in the discussion each week. One will be 10-11 a.m. Mondays (Feb. 1, 8, 15, 22); the other, 4-5 p.m. Sundays (Feb. 7, 14, 21, 28). Both will be on Zoom. Due to the difficulty of distributing books, each participant will need to obtain their own copy.

The reading schedule is as follows:

Week 1 – Introduction: Genesis

Week 2 – Part One: Natural Habitat (Chapters 1-3)

Week 3 – Part Two A: Human Geography (Chapters 4-5)

Week 4 – Part Two B: Human Geography (Chapters 6-7) and Conclusion (Revelation)

To register for the book discussion, please send an email with your name and whether you plan to participate on Mondays or Sundays to susan_sharp_campbell@hotmail.com no later than Thursday, Jan. 28.
